Trying to become the man God called me to be
The strength of a woman,
They do something no man can do and give birth,
No matter their mood or their day, they find a way to put you and their family first,
There at your side when you’re at your best, and when you’re at your worst,
A good woman will have you covered like a shirt,
There’s an old saying behind every good man. There’s a good woman,
She’s the glass of water that quinces your thirst,
So if you don’t have one, my prayer is that you find one before you take that ride in a hearse,
Hello Jay! I’ve been seeing your name on my post likes and thought I’d come over and say personally how much I appreciate it. I love the title and tagline of your site–growing into what God wants us to be is ongoing, and I pray for success for both of us! I wanted to comment on this poem in particular. The line “A good woman will have you covered like a shirt” is brilliant! And your daughter is adorable. She must bring you lots of joy. Peace to you and your whole family!
