The world turns

The world turns,

Every day, another lesson learned,

If history repeats itself, then when will we learn.

War and racism are still spreading like germs,

My future is hard to discern,

I have to hold on to my dreams and ambitions and stay stern,

I know sometimes life hurts like a burn,

The government got their hands in the money you’ve earned,

If time heals all wounds, then why does pain return,

Why is there poverty and murder why is there turmoil that leaves us to mourn,

I don’t know, but God, you do, so I give you my concerns,

Life can be hard like a test, something like a midterm,

When you pass, you’ll see everything you deserve,
